Why is your webpage a wiki?

Admittedly, this is kind of an experiment in wikis, which I've wanted to run for some time. But for a medium size personal webpage without a very clear organization, a wiki makes a lot of sense for a mathematician: the formatting is consistent across the entire site without actually doing any work. You can edit as needed from any computer without the hassle of transferring files back and forth or trying to get an ssh session going to a campus server. And it's easy to include math without a lot of extra work.

Does this mean anyone can edit your webpage?

In general, no. I have protected all but the class discussion pages so that only I can edit them (sorry!).
